In the summer of 1998, the first record file was produced to document the history and accomplishments of the Redwood Middle School Orchestra. It was a relatively small, minor accomplishment by the agency. The files were surreptitiously distributed through sources, but was slowly exposed to the open, and the files were compromised. The document was reacquired through an intense day of deception and furtive combat. The files were then entrusted to another subject, but the files were once again compromised. It was then when the files were most unexpectedly reacquired by the source and promptly destroyed. The lists were never seen by public eyes again.

But now, the silence will be broken. From the archives, we have managed to construct another dossier file on the same subjects as before. This is for your eyes only and for your viewing pleasure, simplified and organized.

These following profiles are organized by section, with abridged dossiers on every member of each section. Each member’s ability is also classified and generalized for your viewing pleasure.

Initiate – A greenback in orchestral setting, not necessarily at their instrument. This person has taken the first steps to glory.
Apprentice- Off the baby steps of a beginner, this musician is learning skill in their instrument and craft. Great potential lies in this class.
Journeyman – This is the intermediate level between being really good, and almost there. Everyone in this class is an aspiring new musician.
Advance – A master at their craft and instrument. It could be said that they were born with talent, and that they are refined in all aspects of a musician.
Artist – A true musician that has attained the level equivalent of “nirvana” in the musical realm. A skilled and refined player of their instrument and artisan of their craft.
Legend – Almost a celebrity for their famed playing style and interpretation of music. Very few musicians are able to obtain this fame and status as a player of their instrument.

This section of the chamber strings battalion consists of the best of the best in the bay area. It is a wonder how many of these extremely talented violinists ended up in one section together. Although there may have been some previous “mishaps” that have struck at the reorganization of first violin section, the cohesion of the first violins remains remarkably high. They are the pride of the chamber strings, and the whole of the group looks up to them for guidance and leadership.
