America has risen to the top in just a short time. Why? I believe it is because of its aggressiveness. America's leaders for the most part are all white European and the blood in their veins came from more agressive people back in Europe. Just look in a history textbook. There is so much conquer and expansion, and so many wars in which one group is hitting another group over the head. Let's take a walk through Europe's history. The time of knights...usually thought of as a nice happy time -Chivalry, castles, kings and queens, lords-well guess what, it was a damn bad time to live in. Bloody warfare all the time. Slicing, cutting, stabbing, smashing, pulverizing. Just a real bad way to fight, now maybe you say our current system of shooting and blowing up is bad but we have a good medical system set up. And why were all these wars occuring? Agression, wanting more power and land. Sure a few grudges here and there but it's always the greed for power.
But unfortunately (or fortunately depending on the way you see it) the black plague arrived, wiping out lots and lots of people! Wahoo! Time for a rebirth! The average European became smarter. But the natural agression kicked in again. Across the seas the explorers went and trashed native cultures and took the gold all in the name of God. Convert the heathens! Sheesh...maybe we've hit upon something. Look at the holy wars a while back. All in the name of God. Killing, raping , pillaging, burning...This holy thing is a problem.
The Europeans land in North America. Wahoo! Fresh arable land, lots of space, clean natural resources like crazy. The Indians are slowly pushed away and soon, a little country is formed, the United States of America. Now we arrive to present time. The American form of living is envied by all. Our system of waste is looked up to. Now I may sound like I'm criticizing but actually I'm praising. How else can we in America live like we do. Thank you to those before us who virtually wiped out all of the natives, kicked the Mexicans out of the southwest, tried to dislodge those pesky Canadians, and bombed the hell out of some countries in the name of world peace. You have my fullest thanks, I love America! The world may hate the USA, but they damn well better respect the country.
No, really I do love America. All that's just my pissed off side.
